How to turn a long video into TikTok clips

  1. 01

    Open the long video

A podcast, a vlog, a stream or an interview — any video file, kept on your device.

  2. 02

    Let it find the TikToks

Cutlia transcribes the video and turns the moments that grab attention into vertical, captioned clips.

  3. 03

    Make them yours and download

Pick a caption style, add your @handle and a song, then download each clip or all of them.

Why use Cutlia for this

Captions people read

Bold word-by-word captions — the word being said lit up — so a muted scroll still gets the point.

Tight, fast clips

Long pauses and “um”s are cut and key words get a quick zoom, the way TikToks are edited.

Your handle on every clip

Put your @handle and logo in a corner, so when a clip gets shared, people find you.

Works in 100 languages

The spoken language is detected by itself, and speech in any of them can be turned into English. Accuracy is best in the most widely spoken ones.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add music to the TikTok clips?

Yes. Pick a song from the built-in library — free to use, also in videos that earn money — and it plays quietly under the speech, faded in and out. If a song asks for credit, the line to paste comes with it.

What size are the clips?

Vertical 9:16, up to 1080 × 1920, as MP4 (H.264 and AAC) — the shape TikTok shows full screen. Square and 4:5 are there too.

Does it write the TikTok caption?

On a computer that can run the on-device AI, one click writes a caption with hashtags for each clip, to edit and copy. Without it, copy the clip's own words to start from.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. Cutlia processes your video directly in your browser using WebAssembly and your device's hardware. The file never leaves your computer or phone, so it stays completely private.
